Faculty of Humanities

The history of the Faculty of Humanities dates back to 1833. However, the current form of the faculty was established in 1992. This faculty operates on a credit system and has its main buildings located in various parts of the city.

In addition to offering undergraduate programs, the Faculty of Humanities also provides master’s, doctoral, and other educational programs. The official language of the faculty is Hungarian, with the exception of foreign language programs in Croatian, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.

This faculty maintains a wide range of international relations with European countries and several universities in the United States, among others.

Faculty of Law

One of the oldest faculties at the University of Pécs, the Faculty of Law, has its foundation dating back to 1367. After nearly 90 years, it became complete.

Legal studies have always been an essential part of academic programs at the University of Pécs. The various departments of the Faculty of Law are currently housed in three buildings: the Research and Education Center, the European Documentation Center, and the Faculty Library, all situated at the heart of knowledge.

This faculty has long-term international relations with German-speaking countries, such as the University of Maribor, Vienna, Graz, and more. The first CEEPUS program (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) in the field of law was established in 2005.

Through collaboration with the Faculty of Law, University of Pécs, and with the participation of the University of Graz, University of Maribor, Novi Sad University, and the University of Pannonia, this cooperation was realized.

Faculty of Music and Visual Arts

The Faculty of Music and Visual Arts in Pécs is the only higher education center in Hungary that offers an integrated education in music and fine arts. It was founded in 1996, with various artistic sections.

Education and research within the Faculty of Arts are divided into four distinct sections: the Faculty of Music, the Faculty of Visual Arts, the Media Arts Faculty, and the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at University of Pécs was established in 1970.

The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
