Berlin International University of Applied Sciences offers offers six undergraduate degree programs and three postgraduate degree programs within the faculties of business administration and architecture and design.
Upon completion, students will receive either a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, or Master of Business Administration. The programs are taught entirely in English and have been accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities.

Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture/Interior Design:

With a practical and application-focused approach, this 6 semester program aims to provide students with the knowledge and abilities to address specific contexts and deliver creative and thoughtful solutions that cater to the needs of clients and space users.
Upon completing their studies, graduates will be adept at developing projects from conceptualization and planning to their physical realization. Throughout the program, students will gain an understanding of the relationship between environments and their inhabitants and will apply design principles in real-world scenarios.
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Visual Communication:
The graphic design and visual communication program is ideal for students interested in careers such as brand design, advertising, interaction design, motion graphics, and design consultancy, which all impact daily life. Understanding cultural, economic, and social contexts is key to becoming an effective designer and communicator.
This 6 semester program emphasizes using various software and traditional practices, collaborative projects, and developing research and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: International Management & Marketing

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: Human Resource Management & Leadership

Bachelor of Arts in Data Science & Business:
The data science & business program, students will discover how to navigate the changing structures that affect interactions between producers, customers, suppliers, and partners. They will also learn to apply Machine Learning and other Data Science techniques.
Additionally, in this 6 semester program students will gain proficiency in finance, human resource management, and customer service. They will develop strong interpersonal skills and learn to facilitate collaborative working methods in project management.
Master Programs:
Master of Arts in Interior Architecture/Interior Design:
The MA Interior Architecture/Interior Design program is for graduates of interior architecture/design programs, enhancing their competences and knowledge acquired at the BA level.
This 4 semester program enables students to creatively and responsibly address tasks in interior architecture and design, understanding their role in various contexts. Graduates will apply their deep understanding of interiors, design skills, and knowledge to solve complex creative challenges in the field.
Master of Business Administration (MBA):
The MBA program prepares students for management and leadership roles in the global business market, whether as entrepreneurs or within organizations. This 6 semester program emphasizes creative approaches to business scenarios, focusing on project-based learning in a collaborative environment.
The curriculum includes workshops, lectures, seminars, and experiential learning projects, promoting practical application. MBA students engage in company challenges and interact with diverse partners, strengthening their interpersonal skills.
Admission Process at Berlin International University:
The entire application process is done online. Applications for the fall semester are accepted between December and August. If you require a visa to study in Germany, you should apply at least 3 months before classes begin.

If you do not yet have CEFR level B2 English, and you meet the admission requirements to study at BI, you can sign up for our English Preparatory School. Attend the 1-year intense English Preparatory Program before starting your degree.

What Happens Next?

Semester ticket:
Since 2014, the purchase of a semester ticket for public transport in Berlin zones ABC has been mandatory for all students of Berlin International. Students are required to pay for the ticket along with their tuition fee. The agreed price of the semester ticket is currently around 200 EUR per semester.
Additional Fees:
- Accommodation – around 500 – 800 EUR per month
- Living costs – around 200 – 400 EUR per month (depending on your lifestyle)
- German health insurance coverage – around 120 EUR per month
- Materials cost for design and architecture students – around 150 EUR per semester
How to Pay the Fees:
Your offer letter includes the initial fee installment to secure your seat, covering the first of 6 monthly installments for EU nationals or the full first semester fee for non-EU nationals. It also includes the Berlin transportation ticket fee for one semester and the one-time non-refundable application fee.
You can pay via bank transfer or online through TransferMate, with details provided in your offer letter.
Paying through TransferMate allows you to pay in your local currency, avoiding international transfer charges and offering competitive exchange rates. TransferMate provides 24-hour customer service and online tracking of payments.
To Pay Through TransferMate:
- Check your invoice number.
- Visit the payment website, register, and complete the payment process.
- Transfer funds to the advised bank account in your currency.
- Email confirm@TransferMate.com with the payment receipt, a copy of your student passport, and your offer or invoice letter.
- TransferMate will transfer the funds to the university and email you confirmation.
For EU nationals, the next payment will be due at the end of the first month, and for non-EU nationals, it will be at the end of the first semester.
Application Deadlines:
Fall Semester 2024-25 Start Dates:
- For students not requiring a visa: December 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024
- For students requiring a visa: December 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024 (Recommended due to visa application processing time.)
New students can only start in the fall semester. Transfers to a higher academic semester may be possible in the spring semester depending on the compatibility of previous studies with our curriculum. Transfer students should apply before January 31, 2024, to be considered for a possible start in the spring semester.
